Jungle River fishing is simply incredible around the Tortuguero area.

A 3-day tour is recommended to get in 2 complete fishing trips: one early morning and another in the late afternoon.

Red Snapper and Snook have been the preferred catches of our clients. According to The Tico Times’ Exploring Costa Rica Guide 1999, the current world records for Snook are coming from Costa Rican waters. All these jungle river fish can be caught year round, but the best months for Snook are September through March on the Caribbean coast.

Rates

Jungle River fishing is only $65/hour for the boat, captain and fishing gear. The costs may be shared among fishermen and there is a 4 hour minimum. Food and drinks may be brought aboard or can be provided at an addtional fee. Reservations for jungle river fishing may be made separately or as an added activity to our tours.
